Initially founded by Balangir Lions Club, under the presidency of Mr. Ramesh Ch. Purohit and Mr. Premsingh Hanspal and this Public School had started working like infants in the year 1981 in a Private building.
It passed through many Ups and downs and ultimately by the tireless effort by the members of the Managing Committee as mentioned on the wall in a marble slab at the entrance, the school started functioning in the magnificent building in the year 1997.
Again by the whole hearted efforts of the members of the management, the school got recognition and affiliation from the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.) Delhi in the year 1999-2000 and presented students of class X to appear at the C.B.S.E. Board Examination from the year 2001. Now it has got the rank of a full-fledged Secondary School being affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.
